Download Absinthe 2.0
Download iOS 5.1.1

Connect your iPad to your computer and backup your personal data via iTunes. Make sure your iPad is updated to iOS 5.1.1 because Absinthe will work only if your iPad is running iOS 5.1.1.

Step 1

Windows Users:
Extract the downloaded Absinthe archive;
Double click the absinthe-win-2.0.exe;
A new folder named absinthe-win-2.0;
Open this new folder and launch absinthe.exe.

Mac Users:
Double click to mount the downloaded dmg and drag the Absinthe application to your desktop;
Now launch the Absinthe application from your desktop.

Step 2

Make sure to remove any Passcode and VPN settings that you have in place on your iPhone;
Now go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This step will make the jailbreak process speedy and trouble-free;
Connect your iPad 3, iPad 2 or iPad 1 to your computer via USB cable;
Now Hit the Jailbreak button on Absinthe.

Step 3

Absinthe jailbreak process is completely automated. Just sit back and don not do anything. Don not unplug your ipad until the jailbreak process is completed. You iPad may appear to be restoring from backup, that’s normal. Let the Absinthe do its job.

Upon completion of the jailbreak process, Absinthe will prompt you with Done!
